This is my Head Start Sucess Story:
When "Joe" came to Family Services of Grant County he knew almost no English. He was scared and confused. He made a commotion in the classroom. He clung to his parents when they came to the classroom. He frequently tried to run out of the classroom. Slowly but surely Joe got adjusted to the classroom. He started to feel at ease at Head Start. He began to learn English.
Now Joe is eager to converse in English. He enjoys his teachers and plays readily with his classmates. He knows many letters, and can read numerals so fast that he can read house numbers as the Head Start bus rolls through neighborhoods on its way to his house. He has memorized his phone number. He frequently asks for paper and pencil so he can write things down.
Sincerely,
Louis Logan
