I have a 4 year old in Morgan University Head Start program. My son has learned so many things in this program I can't even begin to tell you about. I have learned alot about my son and the program as well. My family service coordinator has helped me with finding a job. I also volunteered there as a classroom representative so I was able to learn how the program works and how much it can help me as well as others.
I was able to volunteer in the classroom as well, that experience I can use on my resume. My son loves the program. He is an only child, but he has learned to share an get along with others, he has friends now. We don't have any family down here in Maryland. All of our family is in New York. Since we have been in the Head Start progam we have a support system now. Whatever we need they are there to help us. We have a family now. Shakwain Johnson
